Users randomly can't log in to EPO

We use Windows authentication exclusively for logging into the EPO web console. I have a couple users that randomly can't log in, log only ever says incorrect password but we know they are using the correct password. This will persist for a while and randomly fix itself, with no change on the user's part, same password they've used the entire time. Orion.log says the same thing as the audit log, incorrect password. Does anyone else experience this?

Re: Users randomly can't log in to EPO

That might happen if epo can't validate the account with the domain controller.  Are the same users affected or random?  Are they on vpn or in network?  Does it happen certain times of day when network might be busy?

One of the users is on a LAN desktop, the other is connected via VPN and remoted into their LAN desktop, so both attempts technically coming from a LAN desktop. I don't think the network is all that busy when it does happen, and they do repeatedly try over the next hour or so with no luck.

Re: Users randomly can't log in to EPO

There are 2 logs that you can look at in the server\logs folder where epo is installed.  The localhost access log will show when a login attempt is made as well as the orion log.  See if it shows anything there other than password issue.  If not, you might need to open ticket with McAfee so we can investigate.  Check also around that time frame if there were any issues connecting to the database.  The orion log would show that.

Not seeing any login attempts for these users in localhost_access_log. I do see the login attempts in orion though and there is nothing other than incorrect passwords, no database issues around the same timeframe.
