Upgrading from agent 4.8.0.1938 to 5.0.2.333 fails with a run now task

When trying to install the McAfee agent 5.2.333 from EPO using a run now task, the installation shows a failure.  However the agent does successfully install on the PC.  I am suspecting this is because on the agent install, the client service is stopped.  When EPO gets no communication if shows the task failed.  Has anyone else experienced this?

Yeah, this has generally been my experience with Agent upgrades.  Sometimes the install task is marked as completed before the new Agent installation starts, and sometimes it doesn't, in which case it says the task failed.
