Re: Upgrading from 5.3 to 5.10

I can suggest you first to look at the "Supported platforms for ePolicy Orchestrator" and see the compatibility chart with ePO 5.10 (i asume thats the end goal as that is our latest ePO version and ePO 5.9 EOL date is actually today)

You can use SQL 2012 with ePO 5.10 but the SQL server needs to be patched to support TLS 1.1 or 1.2

you could use the ePO preinstall auditor as it will highlight any common issues and guide you how to resolved them too. and the ePO step by step upgrade guide is recorded on this doc:

Re: Upgrading from 5.3 to 5.10

Microsoft SQL 2012 Express has a limit of 10 GBs, the only options are to reduce the size or migrate it to a standard/ enterprise version of SQL

I am not sure what you are asking about in your last post.

"ORM 5.3 and JPA 2.2 compatibility, integration to DI frameworks through Hibernate ORM 5.3upgrade to WildFly 17 and JGroups 4, JPMS automatic module names."

Re: Upgrading from 5.3 to 5.10

You can follow this KB to move sql database.

https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB68427

You might also want to make sure that the sql server you are moving to is same or higher version of sql and has the right ciphers/tls enabled that epo 5.10 requires.  You can use IISCrypto for that.  See
