Hi all,
I would like to know how to best upgrade my epo setup which is having mcafee agent, endpoint security with ATP and threat prevention, DLP endpoint, HIPS and drive encryption.
Should I just download the agent update package first, manually upload it then perform the agent upgrade and subsequently move onto ENS then DLP then drive encryption then HIPS?
any thoughts would be appreciated.
Hello @Jmec
Thanks for your post.
First of all please refer the below KB article for upgrade path:
https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB86693
Please have a backup of the ePO server and ePO database:
https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB66616
ePO 5.10 minimum supported products:
https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB90383
Extensions should be upgrade to the supported version.
Once ePO is upgraded then proceed for the point products upgrade.

Hi,
Good morning,
You can upgrade MA locally as well as from ePO server.
Once MA is installed/upgraded then I suggest to create client tasks (product deployment) separately to Install products per product documentation because there will be some products like Encryption, DLP which needs machine reboot.
In case you are facing any issue with deployment, we have excellent documentation available on Community forum.
My request would be look at #:
