RE: Update Master Repository Failed

why are you having to stay logged in...

software tab
configure proxy settings button
remove Use Internet Explorer settings
use Configure the proxy settings manually
manually enter proxy settings using IP with UN/PW combo

job done

RE: Update Master Repository Failed

As i said in my post, the password field is blocked unless i check "change password" first.

This then instantly causes the domain account to lock.

If it makes any difference to you, im using ePO 4.0 Build 1151 Patch 3.

RE: Update Master Repository Failed

I just used the change function and reenter the same password, this worked fine for me last time I reset this during testing about 5 weeks ago.

Im still using the same un/pw combo and no lockouts

RE: Update Master Repository Failed

We had the same problem

Within Repository, configure proxy settings. Changed from IE to manual.

Restarted services

All ok

Update Master Repository (DAT) (Failed to download file)

I have ever the same problem discussed in this post leastwise 6 months, and I have never solve it before.
But, in the least days, I made change in how it does the download the update files, just doing the download as the Evaluation version.
When this settings are done, there is no problem in a new update task, becouse after each Evaluation update, I move it to Current repository.

This was the way that I did to solve it.

And I think that have some unknown problem to donwload the new files in a same directory of the repository.

Good luck folks.

Re: RE: Update Master Repository Failed

Hi,

I am having the same problem. I have never had the problem before, but now I get exactly the same symptom.

Pulls only work when there is a user logged onto the server.

I have tried re-entering the proxy credentials etc, and they work fine, when I am logged onto the server, or, (exactly the same as previous post) when I am logged on to server and doing from remote console.

But, no longer will the repository update when no user is logged on to the server.

The logs show :

Problem has never occured before. Only since patch 6 installed, then it happened immediatley after.

Credentials are correct and services and server has been rebooted etc.

Correct credentials are passed when I am logged on to server.

When no user logged onto server, pulls fail.

In effect, the server is now broken for it's most basic function, pulling DATs from the web.
