Jump to solution

Hi all

Can someone help..

For a couple of months my newly added Windows 2012 R2 serves stay unmanaged.

Deploy EPO agent complete - but it doesn't seem to be the case.

If I try to manually install Agent I get "Incorrect Parameter"..

All new Windows 7 /10 computer get the agent and show Managed System..

I have also checked my systems. It's located under "C:\Program Files\McAfee\Common Framework" for agent 4.8.x and located under "C:\Program Files\McAfee\Agent\x86" for agent 5.0.x.

Re: Systems Unmanaged

Hi,

I have checked my systems and Windows Server 2012 R2 servers are working fine with McAfee Agent 4.8.0.1995. Maybe you can try to manage your servers with those version if it is not necessary to use McAfee Agent 5.0.x. I will also check MA 5.0.x when I have access to my lab environment.

Best Regards,

Cem

I could give that a try.

The thing is that all my 2012R2 servers are ok with 5.0.x .. Only the latest add'ed are not managed.

The Agent seem to push fine ... No errors. But on the server something must be wrong. I se McAfee files and folders being created - but no agent are starting.. Hope that made sense

Do you have chance to disable the firewall on the clients and make fresh install? It would be better to uninstall existing agent and re-install it. It seems like problem is related with communication.

All firewalls are disabled. I have tried to remove and reinstall several times on multiple servers.

I see that McAfee agent service are runing - but the icon is not showing in the notification area ... So I am wondering if the installation somehow is not finished or something?

Did you try to run UpdaterUI.exe? Did you get any error after running it?

Re: Systems Unmanaged

Should it be located here: C:\Program Files\McAfee\Common Framework ?? Then it is missing...

Re: Systems Unmanaged

It should be located under "C:\Program Files\McAfee\Agent\x86" for McAfee Agent 5.0.x.
