Super Agent getting RE-IPd

All, Good day! 

We have a bunch of Super agents / Distributed Repositories in our environment based on region. 

Among those, in one region the Distributed repository server is getting migrated to a different DC with different IP. How to make ePO and the clients educated with the new IP? 

Any help here is appreciated!

I believe, your distributed repository is Super Agent repository.

SA repository works with FQDN. If the machine got new IP address then make sure that fqdn is resolving to new IP by adjusting DNS.

ePO will only use FQDN of SA repo machine for connection on port 8081. 

If it is UNC Repo, Make sure to enable sharing across the network for the folder, so that the McAfee ePO server can copy files to it and agents can access it for updates.

The clients should be fine.  When the repo server checks back in with its new IP address, that should also get updated in the sitelist.  The clients will try fqdn, NetBIOS and IP address, so as long as they can resolve one of them, they are fine.
