Subnet Status

Hi All,

I need some advice with Subnets. We use our DHCP servers for RSDS detecting. The problem is we have Numerous Uncovered Subnets which have the proper subnet attached to the DHCP server, however, the Uncovered Subnets do have a different subnet mask. For RSDS to work properly do we need to install an RSD on each subnet computer, within that subnet or would it be possible to install on one client machine for the particular subnet?

Any information would be greatly received.

Regards.

Re: Subnet Status

It always is a good practice to install RSD on DHCP, though in your case if uncovered  subnets are there, RSD should be able to cover all the subnets as it listens to Layer 2 packets. Check your RSD if it's running ?

Re: Subnet Status

Hi Yogi,

Thanks for you reply. When you say "Check your RSD is running" do you mean via the Subnet console?

Thaniks.
