Slow email notifications

ePO Build: ePolicy Orchestrator 5.10.0 (Build 2428) Update Installed: Update 9 (2.0.0.949)

Recently I have noticed that email notifications seems to have slowed right down. They used to come through within approx. 5 mins of the event but now they seem to come through hours later. The database clean 90 days task is active so the database shouldn't be too large. 102 systems in the tree. I'm just a bit worried a user may not report a virus alert and I won't get on it for hours either.. What can I check?

The orion log under server\logs where epo is installed might show some errors around automatic responses.  Has anything changed since this started?  If you don't find errors in the log, you might want to open a ticket so we can take a closer look.
