Stop all epo services and do NOT kill the tomcat process to speed it up, or reboot.  Let the service stop on its own, no matter how long it takes.  Once stopped, restart it and then see if the task still shows in progress.

Restarted all services, I let you know the results, meanwhile thinking that its happen after update to 5.10 U13
