SQL error when running Update Master Repository

Jump to solution

Hi all,

I'm getting an error when I try to Update the Master Repository.

When I try to run the task, I get this error:

"The task failed to run: java.lang.RuntimeException: java.sql.SQLException: The UPDATE statement conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY constraint "FK_OrionTaskQueue_OrionClusterNode". The conflict occurred in database "EPO4_DIIAV002", table "dbo.OrionClusterNode", column 'InstanceUUID'. "

Upon closer inspection, this table on the SQL database is empty, which is probably why I'm getting the error.

Does anyone know how I can go about fixing this?

Thanks

Yes, it is.  That could be part of your problem.  Go through KB83384 to reset run times.  They should be running every minute.

Hello @thekevinkalis

Thanks for your post.

I would like to suggest you to please run the fragmentation script from KB67184.

If no luck please get a SR open with McAFee Support Team.

What version of epo are you running?  If 5.9.1, this was fixed in epo 5.10.

Hi, thanks for your response. We are indeed using 5.9.1 of the ePolicy Orchestrator. Is there documentation available that the error is fixed in 5.10? It's quite a process to upgrade a piece of software in our environment so I have to show some justification.

I can't find it in any KB and the initial release notes of 5.10 do not contain any fixes that were included in the new release.  I did find it in some defect notes from 5.9.1 for same issue that it was resolved in 5.10 foundation.  Out of curiosity, though, I wonder if your internal dbcleanup task is running properly or not.  Get the output of this query - it should return 2 rows.

Select * from OrionTaskQueueMT where taskdescription like '%dbclean%' or taskdescription like '%task.queue%'

Thanks for the help so far. I ran the SQL query and got back two rows. What seems odd, is that the RunTime for both tasks is 2020-08-16, which seems quite long ago to me.
