hi all
I would like to set the four custom properties with a registry key value.
I configured SIR, but it doesn't work. I don't know where I have to fill in what.
It would be great if someone can explain exactly what I have to configure.
Thanks
In the screenshots you can see my configuration.
What are you trying to achieve?
What registry value do you want to appear in the custom property field?
I would like to sort my client, based on the custom properties. And so I want to get this registry key values to the custom property fields with SIR.
i would like to have the Standort 1, Standort 2, Standort 3, Standort 4 in the custom property fileds. Like in the screenshot above.
I've no hands on experience with SIR but one thing to point out is the key your querying is a 64bit key, 'Wow6432Node' is the clue.
If the machine your trying to query is a 32bit OS then this will fail. Removing the 'Wow6432Node' part of the registry key string will make the query work on a 32bit machine.
I know it is a 64 bit Key. The machine has a 64bit OS. So it should work.
I read the SIR user guide, but I don't understand it.
What do I have to fill in in the "Get value of custom environment variable" filed? When i want to have CustomProps1 from HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Network Associates\ePolicyc Orchestrator\Agent\CustomProps
in the custom property 1?
thanks for your help
I've just done a test and used
FrmInst.exe /CustomProps1="TestValue"
To manually set the customProps 1 field of my agent to a test value. After a full ASIC the test value has appeared in my ePO console.
So am i right in assuming you've used a 'Set Data' SIR policy to set the 'Standort1/2/3/4" values into the agents registry branch?
If so have you restarted the agent service and done a full ASIC on the client?
Yes now I also see the four custom properties in ePO Server.
No I have set this four custom properties by hand in the registry. But it also funktion with "SIR set data" to set a value.
My question now is, is it possible to collect any registry key value from the Client registry and set this value as a custom property?
Thank you for your help
It appears from the screenshot that you're configuring the Collect Data policy - in order to set a registry key, you need to configure a Set Registry policy.

hi joe
Now I have configured a set registry key policy and it works with setting a registry key value.
But can I use any registry key value for the cunstom properties? or just this four?
Thanks
Only these four, if you want them to be automatically sent back to ePO.
