Just tested it. The one created in "C:\Program Files\McAfee\ePolicy Orchestrator\DB\Software\" did get recreated when I renamed it and did a "Pull Now"
Hmmm...mine's not being recreated. I'm just getting the same error. I tried on both sitestat.xml file, too.
Can you glean any additional information from the logs?

Was this working before or is it a new install? I'm thinking that the Master repository might need to be rebuilt...
Never worked since I installed about 2-3 months ago. Just been using my workaround manually.
Is a re-install out of the question then? Can't find anything on the error -212, but I noticed in my log that it gives the content length...

I'd hate to reinstall at this point, but I might have to. I'll def wait a liitle bit see if anyone else has input.
Thanks again!
np. Wish I could've been more help. If you get it resolved, make sure you post it here so I can see what the resolution was. Good luck!
I think this is the problem:
20100127141345 I #6112 naInet Connecting to Real Server update.nai.com using INTERNET_OPEN_TYPE_DIRECT

That IP address is not one of ours, and 251 bytes is too large for sitestat.xml. I'm guessing that you're pulling through a proxy of some sort, and it's returning a different file or some sort of "you are not authorised" HTTP page in response to the request? You'd probably need wireshark or something similar to see exactly what's going on, though.
