Re: Repository Pulls fail due to SiteStat.xml

Just tested it.  The one created in "C:\Program Files\McAfee\ePolicy Orchestrator\DB\Software\" did get recreated when I renamed it and did a "Pull Now"

Can you glean any additional information from the logs?

Re: Repository Pulls fail due to SiteStat.xml

Was this working before or is it a new install? I'm thinking that the Master repository might need to be rebuilt...

Re: Repository Pulls fail due to SiteStat.xml

Never worked since I installed about 2-3 months ago. Just been using my workaround manually.

Is a re-install out of the question then?  Can't find anything on the error -212, but I noticed in my log that it gives the content length...

Re: Repository Pulls fail due to SiteStat.xml

I think this is the problem:

20100127141345 I #6112 naInet   Connecting to Real Server update.nai.com using INTERNET_OPEN_TYPE_DIRECT
20100127141345 I #6112 naInet   No resume download needed, calling InternetOpenUrl
20100127141345 I #6112 NAINET   Resolving name update.nai.com to address
20100127141345 I #6112 NAINET   Name resolved to 12.120.25.16
20100127141345 I #6112 naInet   Content Length is not available, no resumable download support
20100127141345 I #6112 naInet   Downloaded 251 bytes this time
20100127141345 I #6112 naInet   Downloaded 0 bytes this time

That IP address is not one of ours, and 251 bytes is too large for sitestat.xml.  I'm guessing that you're pulling through a proxy of some sort, and it's returning a different file or some sort of "you are not authorised" HTTP page in response to the request?  You'd probably need wireshark or something similar to see exactly what's going on, though.

Joe
