Regarding VSE engine versions for VSE 8.8 on EPO 5.1.1

  Hello,

we have the following questions regarding VSE engine versions on EPO 5.1.1. As I read the current VSE engine version is 5700.7163. But the EPO dashboard snap-in “Repository Package Status” is showing engine version 5600.1067.6407 in “Available”. The “latest master repository pull” is showing “12/12/14 1:00:00 AM” and is up-to-date. We are checked in the VSE engine version 5700.7163.7163 in “Evaluation branch”.

1. Why the current engine version 5700.x is not available in EPO dashboard snap-in “Repository Package Status” in “Available” engine section?

We had trouble with moving installed repository packages between branches. So I want to have the former VSE engine version 5600.1067.6407 for manual master repository check-in.

2. Where I can download that former VSE engine EPO master repository installer package version 5600.1067.6407?

You can download Scan engine 5600 either by master repository 'pull task' can manually download from :

http://download.nai.com/products/licensed/engine/intel/5600/

thanks for very fast and TOP answers! I tested the master repository check-in of the downloaded 5600 engine on our testing EPO environment (v4.6.6) without problems.

As I read in KB66741 the new 5700 engine will be published 3 month after providing it for manual repository ceck-in (puublishing date was on 2014/09/18). So the new engine 5700 should be available and visible in dashbord on 2014/12/18. Right?

BTW: We updated and tested the new 5700 engine on more that 700 machines (XP, W7, Server 2003-2012) with VSE 8.8 P4 (8.8.0.1247) and EPO Agent Version 4.8.0.1500 installed in our EPO Version 5.1.1. environment. All is working well without any trouble on the clients.

there is no new engine Version 5700 available/visible on EPO Dashboard "Status repository packages" window ! What's the reason? Is there some trouble with engine 5700 version?

It is not yet released for Auto update.
