Read Committed Snapshot Isolation (RCSI), specifically the part on Analyze database tempdb version store usage.

We had been having issues with our SQL server and our DBAs identified that RCSI was on and it was suggested to turn it off.  We contacted support and they said it was OK to turn it off, so we did and things are OK now.

The question now, though, is *how* did RCSI get turned on as, by default, our DBAs have it turned off.  Actually, it's more like how do we ensure it doesn't get turned on again?

Please advise.  Thanks.

Re: Read Committed Snapshot Isolation (RCSI)

I can't say how it might have been enabled.  On my 5.10 server, default settings are off.
