There is no harm in installing and removing the product. If the PC manufacturer did not install McAfee or any third party AV.
Consumer tool- MCPR tool should remove if there is any left overs are present on the system for consumer products
I dont think Enterprise products would have been there in the system because it requires grant number and lot more to get it installed
You can try with the MCPR tool and see if that helps you.
