How to create an unattended cluster installation of ePO 5.10?

Hello dear contributors,

I have searched the internet in-and-out for a solution to install a Clustered ePO from a command line with parameters and unfortunately I didn't have any success.

Until now I have managed to fully automate all the installation steps from the installation manual and got stuck at this point.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

thank you for your reply.

That page is the first result on google when you search for silent install parameters for ePO, but unfortunately they seem to be dedicated for single server installation.

For example, during an UI installation, I am being asked for this information:

Virtual Server IP Address

Virtual ePO Cluster Name

Virtual ePO Cluster FQDN

Cluster Configuration Passphrase

Verify Cluster Configuration Passphrase

... for which I am not able to find any dedicated parameters.

This leads me to some conclusions ... either there are some hidden parameters, either this information has to be passed in some other way (maybe using a configuration file during the setup). Otherwise, it looks impossible to me, not to be a solution for a silent clustered install.

Anyways, thank you again and please throw me a hint to overpass this situation because I have spent too much time preparing this deployment. Not to mention that it might be also a "showstopper" and I will be needing to advice my organization to look for another product.

Hi Cristi,
To be honest, unattended install of an ePO cluster setup is not something support  has come across before!
I'd be inclined suspect something like this would have been dealt with by McAfees 'Professional Services' group.

I'll not promise anything but will search around see if I can find anything on the subject!

The article I offered previously is all that we have in ‘support’ (outside of the product guides) to offer on performing an 'unattended install’ of ePO, that said it important to say the process was designed for single server use.
(Unattended cluster operation was not part of the design brief here I’m afraid.)

You can of coarse speak with our ‘Professional Services’ team if you wish they may alternatives that could work for you. If you have an account manager you can call them to discuss this.

At this point I’ll also suggest a ‘product Idea’ to have the product considered for enhancement to include such an install in later editions.
