Policy question

Hi,

We are running ePO 4.6, and I had some policies setup for VirusScan 8.7i which were fine.  Upon going to the policies for virus scan 8.8 it appears I'd have to create my policies again from scratch?  Tried importing and exporting but they only affect the 8.7 version of virus scan.  Is there any way to to just duplicate them across to 8.8??

is there something I'm missing?  would i have to edit the XMLs?

never mind.  Answered my own question!  did have to edit the XML files

This is actually not a great idea, I'm afraid

The VSE team provide a policy migration tool that you can run to convert policies to the new version - I'm not massively familiar with it but I'm sure some other users here have used it.

Yes, we used the migration tool here twice, from epo 3.6 to 4.0, and from 4.0 to 4.6. It worked flawlessly.
