Hello,
My company using Nexthink (real-time: analytics covering all endpoints, , applications and network connection, etc) and shows the updaterui.exe is crashing on all systems which have Agent 5.0.6.702.
I've update some clients to 5.6.2.209 and it seems the crashing stopped.
The plan is to update all the clients to the newest version but it takes time.
Do you have any idea why the older version is crashing? This crash report only appears in Nexthink, I couldn't find any log entries in Windows EventViewer.
Thank you!

Hi @Zebu,
My bad! Thanks for clarifying it! I came across this in Known issues list:
MA-2408 | - | - | 5.6.2 | Issue: masvc crashes intermittently when accessing the freed memory. (Windows only) |
Source: https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB90993
Although, You are only upgrading to 5.6.1 and hence this does not seem to correspond to the same issue you are facing. This may require investigation from technical Support. However, the first recommendation before investigating would be to upgrade and check if the issue is fixed, as, it would make more sense to fix a bug identified on a newer version than looking into a legacy build if the issue is already fixed on a newer version!
Were you able to collect a crash dump of the process? That may give us some help though!
Hi @Zebu,
Thank you for your post. MA 5.0.6 is known to have few bugs that were addressed in its next releases. I came across this one that has existed since 5.0.0 through 5.0.6 that may have caused this issue:

Either-ways, I should point out that you have made the right decision to move to a newer version! I sincerely hope this helps!
Sorry the old Agent version was Agent 5.6.0.702 (I fixed in the original post also) not 5.0.6 I mistyped it.
Is there any known bug i this version also?
