Re: New Dell laptops XPS13 9310 2 in 1 with 11th Gen Intel CPU do not update EPO with events

No, that is not the strategy - I am still reviewing the data and if necessary will have your case owner get this to dev.  My only reason for asking is because of the newer processor, so it looks like we may need to get this to dev to validate support for it, even though it seems to be supported - it just isn't specifically listed out.  However, the error is one seen even with lower hardware, so I don't think that is the issue.

Re: New Dell laptops XPS13 9310 2 in 1 with 11th Gen Intel CPU do not update EPO with events

I looked at the latest mer and from everything I see, it shows updated successfully.  So the question is, where are you seeing it failing?  The agent is reporting this to epo:

- <Section name="General">

  <Setting name="ContentCreated">2021-05-04T08:58:28Z</Setting>

  <Setting name="ContentVersion">10.6.0.11403</Setting>

  <Setting name="Fixes" />

  <Setting name="Language">409</Setting>

  <Setting name="LicenseStatus">1</Setting>

  <Setting name="Patch" />

  <Setting name="PluginVersion">10.7.0.2522</Setting>

  <Setting name="szDATDate">2021-05-12T07:30:00Z</Setting>

  <Setting name="szDATVersion">4434.0</Setting>

  <Setting name="szEngineVersion">6200.9189</Setting>

  <Setting name="szExtraDATNames" />

  <Setting name="szInstalledPath">C:\Program Files\McAfee\Endpoint Security\Threat Prevention\</Setting>

  <Setting name="szProductVer">10.7.0.2522</Setting>

The file system shows same version with 5/13 install date:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\McAfee\Engine\content\amcore\update\4434.0\amupdate.dat

520183

13/05/2021 02:37:24

13/05/2021 02:37:24

13/05/2021 02:37:24

Registry also shows correct version:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\McAfee\AVSolution\DS\DS]

"dwProductID"=dword:00002FCA(12234)

"szScannersPath"="C:\Program Files\Common Files\McAfee\Engine\scanners"

"szContentPath"="C:\Program Files\Common Files\McAfee\Engine\content"

"dwUpdateThrottleMode"=dword:00000002(2)

"dwContentMajorVersion"=dword:00001152(4434)

"dwContentMinorVersion"=dword:00000000(0)

"szContentCreationDate"="2021-05-12"

"szContentCreationTime"="07:30:00"

"dwEnabledScannerOverrides"="884767|true 884773|true"

"szUpdatedAMCoreVersions"="20.12.0.313 21.2.0.1292 21.4.0.329"

Hello JadedbyMcafee

I know my colleague has asked this before but can i please have that SR number and see where it is at the moment?

As far as i can see ENS/VSE is creating the event ID 1119 and calling it a failure and with one of the attached MERs i will like to see why that is happening.
