Message 1 of 4 on different port

I know that in epo epo 4.x, on the main dashboard epo summary, the link MyAvert Security Threats is not populated if the epo server fails to connect to the link
In my case, in fact the corporate proxy blocks access to the site on port 8801. But I noticed that the link can also be reached on the standard port (80) that the link works (at least it seems).

I am tempted to change the setting of the link in the configuration file server.ini but I saw that this setting is also shown in a sql table called EPOAvertSettings.

What are the consequences of security by accessing the above link to the server epo changed?

To make the change simply editing the server.ini file or do I also change the data in the table sql stated?

Thanks for the replies

Re: on different port

Thanks for the information danski.

The document indicated in kb, says "The Security Threats links ( is only listening on this port for

security reasons."

In fact, if I connect at web services are (or seem) the same.

In my opinion it can also connect using the default HTTP port 80, even if it is not safe

Re: on different port

Forget it I tried to edit the server.ini file and table sql epoavertsettings to access the server to link

The access works but not the operation of web services.
For which the information MyAvert Security Threats are not captured.
I put the original settings and I will make me open the door to the outside on the 8801 corporate proxy.
