Migration ePO 4.6.6 to 5.1.2 (in new server) using a external MS SQL 2008R2 Server

Hi everyone,

I search in KB and Mcafee Community and did find a specific ePO Server migration that uses external MS SQL 2008R2 server.

My environment is:

Old ePO: Win 2003R2 x64 with ePO 4.6.6 with external database.

New epO: WIn 2012R2 x64 with ePO 5.1.2 will use same external database.

External SQL Server: Win 2008R2 with MS SQL 2008R2.

I'll need to run a specific task to update database before install new ePO 5.1.2 server?

If migration tool are specific to migrage ePO from 32 bit to 64 bit OS, the better way to upgrade ePO is performing a side by side export and import ePO configuration as recommended on link above?

Thankyou
