McAfee ePO agent 5.5.1.342 seems to make VirusScan/ENS pull DAT from McAfeeHttp instead from ePO

Jump to solution

Have just started testing the new ePO Agent 5.5.1.342. Have started seeing some strange behaviour. When either doing a fresh install or upgrading a system from agent 5.5.0.447 to 5.5.1.342 we are seeing the client pull the DAT from McAfeeHttp instead of the ePO server. The autoupdate repository list has the ePO server as number 1 and McAfeeHttp as the fallback. It is strange behaviour since it will work find with the previous agent 5.5.0.447.

We are running ePO 5.9.1 and have tried Windows 10 (1803) and Windows 7. Both VirusScan 8.8i with Patch 11 and ENS 10.5.4 show this behavour of pulling the DAT from McAfeeHttp instead of the ePO sevrer.

Has anyone else seen this and have any suggestions?

Looks like I have fixed my issue by making some changes to the ePO agent policies for repository.

Changed the option to "Use order in repository list" and also select "no proxy".
