running the following McAfee Software
ePO 5.1.1 (Build 357)
VSE+ASE v 126.96.36.1997 patch 4
DAT Reputation 4.6
I work on a closed network (no internet access) and manually download all Updates, Patches, & Hotfixes.
I have two servers that are not installing the DAT Reputation.
Is there a manual way to install the DAT Reputation without using ePO to push it to clients?
Solved! Go to Solution.
the dat reputation executable package is packaged as part of the dat file.
Trust me, I was part of the beta for dat reputation, it needs connectivity and is pretty picky about it. Dat reputation just defaults to accept the dat file if no check is available.
OMG, you waited 6 months?
Don't you have a grant number for access to the service support portal?
I can't help I'm afraid as I'm a consumer product user.
Maybe you can find an answer here anyway - try the search.
Sorry to hear its taken 6 months for someone to pick this one up.
The DAT Reputation Implementation guide is available here. This guide was originally written for users who wished to implement the safety pulse features during the elective download period, but all the information is still valid.

I've went through the DAT Reputation Implementation guide before. What is not explained in the guide, or any reference material that I can find in the McAfee Communities, is how to trouble shoot clients that are not receiving the DAT REP configuration.
Simply put I have three servers that are not receiving the setting.
I've manually installed DAT Repudiation and verified that it is in installed in "%programfiles(x86)%\ Common Files\McAfee\DATReputation".
I've manually added the appropriate registry key entries and the results are all the same.
The three servers in question still show no DAT REP installed.
I've confirmed this by duplicating the default DAT Adoption query and modifying the new query to included Product Version McAfee DAT Repudiation Service.
