McAfee Agent NetBIOS requirements

I'm working on a deployment and one of the requirement is to review the firewall rules used by ePO.

To deploy an agent, McAfee recommends this (KB56386):

Enable all of the following on the network and the client computer:

  • NetBIOS protocol
  • Network protocols and ports required for machine name resolution
  • ADMIN$ share
  • File and Print sharing
  • Server service
  • Remote Registry service

Does McAfee officially support the 'DirectHosted SMB' over port TCP/445 or do we absolutely have to open these legacy ports?

   nbname            137/UDP

   nbname            137/TCP

   nbdatagram      138/UDP

   nbsession         139/TCP
