Ok I understand, and also explain the complaint of one of my users....
With HIPS : it's always happening, more easy to isolate/identify/troubleshoot that way

Hi.
any developments on this you can share? maybe the McAfee defect reference if one has been logged?
thanks
Any workaround to fix this issue with the HIPS?
I'm testing HIPS patch 4 and it is the same behaviour while shuttingdown .
It is detected more slowness after install Windows Patches.
Hi anybody
I have the same behaviour, without HIPS the shutdown in the machines are normal.
Any workaround or hotfix to fix this issue with the HIPS?
regards
Hi,
T3 engineer from Mcafee is preparing an hotfix. The release date is still unknown
One of the workarount proposed by the suppor team is to uncheck the option ‘Run at every Policy Enforcement (Windows only)' for all your client Task (see Client Task Catalog)
I don't try it because it was not an option for me.
As soon as the hotfix will be released, I will let you know.
Regards,
the HF is for ma or hips?
Have we seen any updates on a fix for this? Was a Hotfix released?
Any news on that? The topic is open since March 2014 without bug fix.
I have users that it take up to 3 minutes to shutdown.
Is there any expected time frame for a bug fix?
Looks similar to KB81912
Hi all,
i have not read any answer. We had the same problem with a customer with more than 10000 endpoint.
- Agent 4.8
- VSE 8.8 P4
- HIPS 8.0 P4
This is a known issue if this products are installed. In our szenario user logoff took 2 min. and more. Support told us, this should be fixed with HIPS Patch 5. Updating to Agent 5.0 has not solved the problem.
Customer changed Agent to version 4.6.x. This solved the problem.
Cheers
