MSME 8.6.0.130

Jump to solution

Hi there,

Currently we are using MSME version 8.6.0.171 with Hotfix version 8.6.0.124.

At our mcafee product download webpage we only have this MSME patch1 version 8.6.0.124 available but when looking in the ePO software catalog we see that there is a hotfix MSME Patch1 version 8.6.0.130 available.

Although we are interested in this hotfix for testing I am not able to find any release notes about it to see what problems it is fixing.

Also both 8.6.0.124 and x.130 are named "MSME Patch1" hotfix without any specific HF number.

Could someone give us more information about this patch1 ?

That is a managed release hotfix (hf1236399), meaning you have to have a ticket open to get it for tracking purposes.  The release notes for it would be included in the file that you get when you are sent the release.  kb82213 lists known issues for some of the things resolved in it.  Here is what is resolved in that.

These issues are resolved in this release of the product.
Reference  Issue description
1230739  The blocked URL link in the Detected Item now opens successfully.
1229314  The performance counters now work appropriately.
1228035  MSME no longer ignores sub policy settings when scanning inbound emails.
1226039  The 2045 scan failure issue is no longer recorded in the log.
1226835  RPCServ Talkback dump calling out configseverdOO This hotfix resolves this issue.
1226664  Crash in multidoc component of CSE. This hotfix resolves this issue.
1232218  URLs that contain more than 250 characters are now displayed as a link.
1231116  The mail URL detection now sends the notificDtion with complete details to the recipient.
1233873  Scanning pdf fiOes no longer generates 2045 event.
1237580  The on-demand scan client task now scans only the active or available mailboxes on the server.
1237515  The notificDtion emails now contain appropriate server name in the subject line.
