Is there a setting that enables or disables the try icon

Jump to solution

Hey all,

I noticed that when my McAfee agent installs on machines, it does not show up in the tray. It only shows up when I run "C:\program...\Mcafee\agent\cmdagent.exe /s" and disappears again on reboot.

Is this a setting that I need to change so that the icon stays in the tray?

Agent version: 5.6.5

Do I need to make any updates once I change this? Or once I hit apply, it will be picked up next communication?

I enabled the "RDP" option as we are on VDI's so I bet that will resolve.  I will report back.

Hello @zang8027

Thanks for you response.

If you will hit apply it will get applied on all the client machine based on your agent to server communication (ASCI).

You can also send the Wake up agent call to the machines so policy will get applied.

Also if you want to apply the policy on one machine then please duplicate it and save the policy with changed and then select the machine>Actions>Agent>Modify\Edit policy on a single system>Edit Assignment>Break inheritance and assign the policy and settings below and select the policy from drop down and save the policy , Once saved please send a wake up agent call or wait for machine to communicate and pick the policy.
