Simple question, but deserve to get an answer.
How do i get the agent remove from linux system with ENSl installed from ePO.
Delete server and select remove agent on the next agent to server communication didn't work.
I can uninstall it manually from the client, but that is not what I am looking to do for 200 servers 🙂

So, this what I did.
Created a folder and dump all Linux servers that I need to uninstall Mcafee agent.
Created a task to uninstall ENSL. Once ENSL removed, I deleted the folder and selected to remove the agent on the next Agent to server communication.
That is the step for any reason a user want to delete the agent for large number of Linux servers.
Yes, that is how you would do it.

Hello @User16096767
Thanks for your post.
Is there any specific reason you are trying to remove the McAfee Agents from the machines?
Also just wanted to know is there any products is installed on the machines like ENSL ?
If yes you might first remove the ENS and then MA.
Please try to remove the MA on one client machine and check whether this is giving any error or information.

In case you have requirement to uninstall MA. you need to use -nodeps switch.
rpm -e MFEcma -nodeps -noscripts
rpm -e MFErt -nodeps -noscripts
Please look at #: https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB75550
So, uninstall ENSL from the client and uninstall the agent. is there any task that can be deploy from ePO? Or I have to do it one other time?
Hello @User16096767
Thanks for your response.
Process would be same, Try to send a Uninstall task from the ePO.
Make sure you are using same version of ENS or Higher version to uninstall the ENSL.
Hope this will help.

When you select remove agent when deleting a system from system tree, if there are any McAfee products installed, it will not remove the agent, but will just take it out of managed mode. This is so that installed products can still get updates. If you remove the agent and ens is still installed, ensl will not be able to update because there is no agent to do so. So, if you want to remove the agent, remove installed products first. Otherwise you need an agent installed to support the products installed. It doesn't have to be a managed one.
