Hi all,
I'm attempting to perform a recovery installation using a disaster recovery snapshot and I am not sure how to do exactly that.
Scenario is the following: ePO server has SQL Server Express on the same box. DR snapshot taken on ePO server, and database backed up. I want to migrate that ePO server and database to a new server, again using SQL Server Express on the same box.
The ePO 5.1.0 product guide indicates the following, under the ePO sever recovery installation section:
On the Software Welcome dialog box, click Restore ePO from an existing Disaster Recovery database
Snapshot
Where exactly should I find this option in the installation process? I am not seeing this option anywhere. Am I just completely missing something and/or doing this wrong?
Thanks!

It should be pretty much the first option after running the ePO installer setup.exe

Got it, thanks - I was trying to do this using the CEB EASI installer which I suppose is not going to work for this purpose
Hi
So what do we need backup DB? Is it backup all DB, or some table? do you have recommand tool to work with it?!
The DR snapshot server tasks writes some extra tables to the database that includes all the necessary information for recovery.
So, you need a copy of the database that is taken after the execution of such a task, and of course the recovery keyphrase that you will be pompted for by the ePO installer when you select the recovery option.
