Hi,
i have configured the following text in EPO e-mail notification generator:
"Event-ID: {EventIDs}
Numbers of received Events: {ReceivedNumEvents}
Time of first Event: {FirstEventTime}"
If i receive the test-mail, the text is shown as:
"Event-ID: {EventIDs} Numbers of received Events: {ReceivedNumEvents} Time of first Event: {FirstEventTime}"
What's wrong with the linefeed ? How can i insert a linefeed or enter code into the text?

Solved! Go to Solution.
If you use Outlook, check if the option "auto remove line breaks" is disabled or not (by default it is on)
I had the same problem and the source of all evil was Outlook
Nachricht geändert durch akl71 on 26.04.10 16:10:33 MESZStrange, as linefeed works for me ok.
I entered the text as I would like to see it in the email and the resulting email was formatted correctly. Making sure I used the <return> key at the relevant end of line.
Are those " " actually in the notification or are you just quoting ?
Rgds,
Rob.
Hi Rob,
thank you for your information. It's just cracy. I have modified the notification text:
Virus detected and removed on Computer {AffectedComputerNames} with IP {AffectedComputerIPs}.
Notification Rule Name: {NotificationRuleName}
Event-ID: {EventIDs}
Numbers of received Events: {ReceivedNumEvents}
Time of first Event: {FirstEventTime}
Received Thread Name: {ReceivedThreatNames}
Source Computer: {SourceComputers}
Affected Objects: {AffectedObjects}
For more Information please check the Log-Files and EPO-Protocolls.
And I gote the Test-E-Mail:
Virus detected and removed on Computer test-AffectedComputerNames-test with IP test-AffectedComputerIPs-test.
Notification Rule Name: Virus dedected and removed
Event-ID: Not Available
Numbers of received Events: 0
Time of first Event: 4/24/10 10:05:39 AM
Received Thread Name: test-ReceivedThreatNames-test Source Computer: test-SourceComputers-test Affected Objects: test-AffectedObjects-test
For more Information please check the Log-Files and EPO-Protocolls.
The lines are written correct. But the red 3 lines are written without linefeed . Why???
Is there a possibility to insert a special code for Linefeed?

Honestly - I don't know why.
As a quick test I could not insert a special ascii code into the notification text (neither 'alt-010' nor 'alt-013' accepted for example).
What you can do however is export the response as XML and inspect it. it'll be hard to read because all the special characters will now be visible as their xml equivalent plus all the usual xml tagging.
However at least you are now looking at source data and maybe the formatting can be worked out.
If it looks like it doesn't behave as expected please open a support case so it can be looked at in more depth.
Hth,

first make sure no one else is working on the automation tasks.
I would hit a the return key a few times (whereever you want the new line) and then delete the unnescessary spaces after its all done.
Make sure it gets saved.
