How to import dat file from A server to B

Jump to solution

server B cannot connect to internet to update DAT

server A can connect to internet to update DAT

so right now I'd like to copy server A dat file to server B and import. but I do not know which file I should copy. right now I copied file: c:\\Program File(x86)\McAfee\ePolicy Or....\DB\software\Current\VSCANDAT1000\DAT\0000\XXX-10010.zip

But when I import this file to B, the B server show me: need pkgcatalog.z file. and when I copy this pkgcatalog.z file to B, and import, the server show me: the file already broken.

Could some body help me?

Thanks.

the best way to achieve this is by following the article below:

https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB82581

other wise you need to download the DAT manually from the page below and bring it into the ePO server with no internet

Thanks a lot.

You would set up a client task for that.  Under system tree, assigned client tasks, create new assignment, mcafee agent, update.  Then choose the updates you want and schedule it accordingly.

What products are you running, ENS or VirusScan?  ENS uses amcore, which is the v3 dats.  VSE uses V2 dats.  In the master repository, does it show a dat and/or amcore content version?

Thanks, I think maybe I downloaded the wrong version. I use ENS on the ePO5.10
