How to change database server of McAfee ePO 5.10 server

Jump to solution
Hello, I would like to change my database server for the ePO-server 5.10. I've read the article 68427 regarding how to do that but there is not mentioned what to do with the events-database. Did anyone already change the database server and know if I have to move this database, too? Best regards Rafael

Hello,

Both the ePO main database and the events database must be moved to the new SQL server system.

FYI:
The given KB does cover this aspect of the ePO 5.10 db.

Recommended procedure to migrate or move an ePolicy Orchestrator database to a new SQL Server
Technical Articles ID: KB68427

The events db (NDF) is all part of the main ePO (LDF/MDF files), as such the section about the BAK file covers NDF as well.
