Hotfix repost confirmation related to migration from SHA-1 to SHA-2 certificates on 5.9.1
KB90182 (5/22/2018) notes a hotfix that cannot be applied in environments running Agent 4.8. It notes that a repost will follow, and there appears to be a repost dated 31 May 2018 (details below). Just for sanity, could I confirm that:
a) this hotfix repost fixes the issue noted in KB90182 b) this repost has been confirmed to not impact managed hosts running Agent 4.8 c) is it recommended to apply this hotfix before attempting any of the steps in KB87017 (1/22/2018) rather than waiting to get to step 9 (I can confirm we will be running 5.9.1)
Re: Hotfix repost confirmation related to migration from SHA-1 to SHA-2 certificates on 5.9.1
The original HF was created back in February '18, the mentioned 're-post' was available as of February '19.
File name: EPO591HF1226775r.zip the small 'r' defines this as the re-post.
It is still in use today, but I would add and so suggest that 'ePO 5.9.x' is the older of the ePO versions you can use. In time ePO 5.10 will be the minimal version to use, as such it might be worth upgrading to ePO 5.10 where the issue is already addressed no need for hotfix.
