the dat-executable did the trick, but this i can't accept as solution in a managed environment. If this still works tomorrow wiht the dat-file from the repository, we can go on with distributing the new w10-clients. Nevertheless the ePo-server should execute this task without errors, so there should be further investigation on this "generic script error".
@cdinet: hope you understand my explanation, but many thanks. Kudos for sure!
Understood and I agree, I am looking at the logs.

Should a user-environment variable not be enough? Do we really have to have both user- and computer-environment-variables?
You need the system environmental variable for that because the agent runs under the system process, which the tasks are run under, requiring no user logged in for that to occur. It does not run under a user context.

Great, have to talk with the client-dep, cause w10 comes without a system-environment-temp-variable. so they had to add this via gpo.
thanks a lot for your efforts
Glad to assist! We use temp to copy the updates to first to then extract them and copy them to the proper location, so without knowing where to look for that temp dir, we fail.
