Failed to upload package to ePO server

Jump to solution

Quite recently, we have started seeing errors coming up in all the agents installed in our environment. Troubleshooting done till now

  1. Restart of services in ePO & AH
  2. Connectivity between AH and DB on the DB ports
  3. Client system to AH (on public IP) connectivity on port 80 and 443
  4. No systems in the Sequence error report
  5. Hostname reachability from AH to EPO and vis-a-versa. Checked the host file entry as well. ePO server is on domain but AH is not on domain.
  6. No upgrades done till now. So effectively, no changes except for Windows password reset.

Let me know if any logs are required to further investigate into this matter. Logs available to upload:

  • masvc_<clientname> from the client machine
  • server_<servername> from AH
  • eventparser_<servername> from AH

Hello @User11130976

Thanks for your post.

You should be looking at masvc log and server.log to see the errors.

https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB92553&locale=en_US

It could be an issue with the Ciphers but to confirm we need to check the logs.

As you are facing issue with the communication in that case if you want you can open a Service Requrst for immediate solution.

This issue was resolved after raising Service Request. The issue was related to TLS settings and Cipher Suite. Thanks for your help !

Don't post the logs here, please, as they contain sensitive company info.  If the kb given doesn't help, please open a ticket.  One thing you want to look at is when did the issue start and did anything change?  Masvc log shows agent side of communication as well as what server (epo or ah) it is failing with.  Then you have to match it with the server log to see if it is even reaching the server, or other errors on server side.
