Exporting/Importing Tags between ePO servers

Can tags be exported/imported when migrating to  a new ePO server with version 5.10u5?

These tags are used in queries & tasks and I have found that if the same assignments are not present it can cause a problem.

Yes, you can import/export tags between epo servers, but keep one thing in mind.  Tag ID in the database of one server might not match tag ID after being imported into second server.  So you need to go through any tasks, policy assignments, etc. where a tag is used to ensure the correct tag is there after importing them and assignments.

On a completely new ePO server would the imported tags use the same Tag ID or would these all be reset with their own ID?

They would be reset with their own id.  Think of it as adding an entry in the database, where the table has an autoid for the value just inserted.  That may or may not be the same in every database - depends on if there were some existing or not, order of inserts, etc.
