Exclusion within the ePO Policies

I have a system that uses the G and H drive for access to USB HDD drives, however there are also mapped drives that area used by DFS to map drives as G and H on my storage.

I want to scan my USB HDD but not my storage.

I have created 2 exclusions for the storage maps using \\xxxxxxxxxxx\xxxxx\*

G and H are not in the Exclusion values.

My question is will the USB HDD still be scanned but will the  path above prevent the mapped drives from being scanned.

Hi bungy, if you have used UNC paths as exclusions for VirusScan ths will never affect any physical har drive connected to your computer.

Anyway you can also set the VirusScan policy to not scan the network and you'll be done
