Endpoint Security Platform Extension Stuck Partially Installed - Unable to access ePo Console

Jump to solution
While upgrading extensions in EPO, the Endpoint Security Platform 10.7.0.760 extension became stuck (spinning wheel and unresponsive). The extension is now stuck as partially installed and directs me to uninstall other extensions because they all seem to be dependent on the Endpoint Security Platform Extension. The first extension it told me to uninstall was Adaptive Threat Protection, which also became stuck in an infinite uninstall loop. I attempted to stop EPO Services on the server to see if restarting them would bring me out of this infinite loop, but then I received an error stopping the Application service. The server was rebooted and now I'm experiencing issues accessing the ePO Console. I am getting errors when trying to access the main application login screen : An unexpected error occurred while trying to handle your request. I then tried to access localhost:8443/core/config and received a different error: javax.servlet.jsp.JspException: javax.servlet.jsp.JspException: error including body content When looking through the orion.log I noticed a few errors, one of them being: dependent plugin ENDP_GS_1000 failed with initialization error. Any suggestions on how to get the console back up and running and the Endpoint Security Platform extension installed would be greatly appreciated.

No, sorry, I didn't make sure that was the right KB.  Look at KB70963.

Check KB81754 for how to clear up partially installed extensions.

I took a look at KB81754 and it looks like procedures that would be used after a disaster recovery. Just wanting to confirm, are you suggesting that I perform the disaster recovery procedures? That is the only way to clear a stuck extension? Thank you.
