EPO4.6 can´t open Agent Remote Log

Here I will suggest you to turn off your windows server firewall just for a while and request Agent Remote log form youre ePO, if it works then enable your firewall and add exception of 8081 port in fire wall settings.

Adding port exception in windows server 2012 for inbound traffic.

• Click Control Panel

• Open Windows Firewall from the control panel
• Next click on the “Advanced settings” link in the left hand side of the screen.
• On the Windows Firewall with Advanced Security window, you can create and manage your inbound and outbound data flow rules separately. While relatively similar, here I will focus on inbound rules. Click "Inbound Rules" on the far left, then click "New Rule..." on the far right.
• On the New Inbound Rule Wizard, select Port as the rule type.
• Then select whether the port will be accessed by TCP or UDP data and specify the local ports.
• Then select how connection attempts to this port should be treated. Allow the connection to quickly allow connections on this port of TCP.
• Unless you have created a virtual network like a VPN, choosing Domain and Private should be enough, but use discretion when you get into networking.
• Give the Rule and name, complete the wizard and you're done!

I did try your suggestion but no luck.

I can also see that there are McAfeeFrameworkService Rules configured in the Firewall

2 Rules for Public, 2 for Private and 2 for Domain

Is the 2012 server running the same agent policy as the other servers?

If it's running a different policy one thing to do would be to check that the 'Accept connections only from the ePO server' option is unticked under the 'general' section.

Then it looks like McAfee Agent is not working as expected, is the "McAfee Framework Service" running?

Yes the Framework Service is running. The McAffe Agent Monitor shows a connection to the ePo Server. The dat updates are working fine.

Perhaps another service is runnin and listening on McAfee's port. Try to do a netstat -abn to see if something is on port 8081

So McAfee Agent is listening on port 8181 instead of the default 8081, is that right? If you then try to open http://localhost:8181 does it shows the agent log?
