EPO 5.3.1 AD Sync

Hello,

I am currently setting up a new epo 5.3.1 server.  I have a registered LDAP server with a successful connection test.  When I try to synchronize the system tree OU's to active directory using domain name and the same credentials to authenticate I get an unable to authenticate error.  If I set up the AD sync using the LDAP server everything works.  Our old epo server was configured to sync using the domain name which is why I wanted to go that route.  Is it bad to use the LDAP option instead of domain name?  Does anyone know what my issue may be while trying to use domain name?

Thank you

Re: EPO 5.3.1 AD Sync

Hello,

The account you are using should have access to the entire AD structure - both accounts and computers. You may review the orion.log for ldap/ad errors.
