Since uprading to epo agent version 5.0 we see that DAT updates and newly created tasks are being deployed to the clients very slowely.
Is anyone seeeing the same behaviour?
Global updating is enabled and still DAT files downloaded during the night don't get propagated to the individual clients etc.
Yes I find the same, a wake up agent does wake the agent up but no tasks seems to be invoked, I've found it can take a day for it to complete sometimes. This started happening after upgrading to version 5 of the mcafee agent.
Hi Wim_abts,
Upgrading EPO 5.1.1 contains the agent 5.0 extensions, were it leads to re-invoke the tasks with "Run Immediately" status.
This information is completely documented in KB74420 and direct link as below.
NOTE: Generally from Intel security, we recommend customer to go through the EPO checklist as per KB76739 before perform an upgrade.
If you have followed this article, you would hae come to know this known issues and pre-cautions to follow
I hope, this answered your queries ?

Sorry but this has nothing to do with the issues i described.
The problem we see is that when you create a new task, it takes several hours for this to propagate to the clients.
With agent 4.8 this was immediately
Hi Abwi,
As per your last update, If the issue with the client tasks is not completing and showing "In progress" for few hours and never ends.
If the issue is similar with EPO 5,1.1, follow the KB83384
If the issue is different, share the screenshot to better understand and answer accordingly.

RGC
This is the problem though, they don't run immediately. The fact there are known issues is a problem, the fact there are unknown issues still not documented is more of a worry.
