Howdy.
I do not use super agents in my environment.
We have a Nagios server that uses port 8082. Whenever this server is rebooted, McAfee takes ownership of port 8082 and the Nagios server will not work.
As I dont use port 8082 (I think) is it feasible to disable this port so the Nagios server can use it?
How would I go about this?
Thanks
Hello Imac.
Can you please post Screenshot of port configuration which you have made for your ePO.
ePO Console--->Menu--->Configuration--->Server Settings--->Ports.
Screen shot attached.
Hello Imac.
Your Screenshot clearly shows that Port 8082 is used by McAfee for Agent broadcast communication port.
Yep, I know that it is configured.
The question is, as I dont use Super Agents, can I disable this port?
Hello Imac.
So you can change that port.
That port is configurable in the ePO console.
Server Settings - Ports - Edit
'Agent Broadcast Communication port'
Set it as you wish, ensuring no conflicts.
The change will roll out in the next policy enforcement.

Rob.
