Good Day,
We are on ePO 5.10 update 10, I was trying to deploy the agent 5.7 on a machine via Agent - > Deploy Agent. However, when I do so it says Device not ready. Although I can ping the device through ePO it doesn't deploy. Even waking up agents doesn't work.
I added a screenshot with this issue.
Solved! Go to Solution.
The failed to authenticate is main message. It doesn't necessarily mean user/password type authentication, but all requirements need to be met for things to happen. Follow this KB to see if it meets all environmental requirements for agent deployments.

From the epo server, can you map a drive to the admin$ share using the credentials you are using to push with? If so, are you able to write a file to it? There are other environmental requirements also needed, so go through that KB.

Thank you, I will look at the KB and do some checks. Because whats weird is that it doesn't happen to all machines.
If it is consistent with certain machines, I would suspect something not set right on those to enable those requirements.

You are indeed correct, there is a permissions issue with the credentials i'm using for some machines.
