Delete Groups with no Systems in System Tree

I'm new to the company and notice that there are many groups under My Organization that contain 0 system. Just wondering if there is a way to create a query and show all the empty groups? As well as create a task or anything in ePO that will delete those empty groups without doing manual deletion of each one of them. Using On-Premise ePO 5.10.0 Update 4. Thanks.

There is no server task or automated way to remove groups from the system tree - that would have some disastrous results if it did by someone running it by mistake. You can do an export of the system tree and all systems, review it for the groups with no systems, then go through and manually remove the empty groups.

Tough to accept the solution because, the accidental deletion may happen even manually. API should expose such a feature to do the cleanup. The api can run the needed rules before the deletion is actually done. The documentation on the api should detail clearly on what happens when such an api is executed.
