Configuring Superagents in ePO 4.0

Is there a best practice doc for this?

It would seem I only have the option for all agents to be super agents, not select individual ones as per version 3.x of ePO.

I can easily do this in epo 4:

create a new copy of the macfee agent policy call it superagent policy
make sure its not applied to anything
tick the box to convert to superagents
apply policy to pc's you want to be superagent
wake em up

Thanks for the reply, thats a great help.

I do have a further question, however. When I create the policy and select to enable superagents, I try to specify the repository path as c:\epo_repository, but get an error

Invalid directory to use for the repository.

Any ideas?

you cant use global root level you need to nest it, see this article:

Strange, I just set up superagents at two of my remote sites. I used the default of "c:\repository" and it's working.

That's weird. I thought mine had worked OK until I went back in and the setting had been removed.

All sorted now though.

You're absolutely right. I just checked on mine and although I never received any replication error messages in ePO, it looks like nothing has replicated since the first (full) replication.

You have to specifiy a second subdirectory, ie c:\epo_repository\deployments to get rid of the error.
