Column VirusScan Enterprise – Additional Properties : Missing

Jump to solution

In my test ePO enivorment I have option for columns pertaining to "VirusScan Enterprise – Additional Properties".  But ePO production doesn't list "VirusScan Enterprise – Additional Properties".  Possible corrumpt extension?  If so, would it be the VSE one -TIA

Thanks for those who replied - After opening several "install.xml" files found in ...\Server\extensions\installed\... I was able to determine that "VirusScan Enterprise – Additional Properties" is within the "VIRUSCANREPORTS".  So, with that in mind; force remove of "VIRUSCANREPORTS" with a re-install of version 406.  Confirmed that Column VirusScan Enterprise – Additional Properties was now available.  Prceeded with update 426; confirmed that Column VirusScan Enterprise – Additional Properties was still available.

Hi tao,

As a general rule of thumb, yes, this will pertain to extensions, as you suggest possible 'corruption'.

So long as you are on, in terms of continued supported releases beyond March 31 EOL for ePO 5.3, in ePO 5.9 and higher there is an option is server setting named 'policy and task retension', by default this is 'off'.

You can enable this before you remove the extesnion(s) and as its name suggests ePO will retain any policy and tesks defeind for that product so you can remove them and then re-add them without loss od such detail.
During this time the policy etc will be 'greyed' out until you add the extension(s) back to ePO where they will then become active again.

Mine is set to Keep - Policy and Task Retention : When a management extension for a product is removed: Keep policy and client task data

Remove/reinstall VSE extention; would that add it back?  If so, which extension version?

Morning tao,

Take note of the extensions you currently have in the ePO server.
Menu>Software>Extensions ..

Then visvit the main software download site and collect that version (a fresh set)  and use the newly downloaded extensions .(Same version)
