Hello, when i tried to deploy the agent from EPO on MAC it gives ssh communication error. Is there any way to resolve it or any other way to do it ?
Solved! Go to Solution.
That is because you are going to have to manually remove the unsupported version first. You might want to post in the ens team to get help with that.

Hello @mkazi
Thanks for your post.
It seems you are pushing from ePO and it is getting failed.
I hope that port 22 is open.
You can try installing the McAfee Agent manually on the machine to check whether the installation is getting successful or not.

Along with port 22 open, you also need to ensure that ssh remote access is enabled on the MACs and that the account you are using to push also has sudo rights or is the root account.

I was able to push the agent but now the McAfee shows the protection is off, couldn't turn it on.
You would need to ensure that the version of ens you are running is supported on that MAC build. I would suggest removing it, reboot and reinstall latest version.

I'm running MAC OS 10.16 and the product installed Endpoint Security Threat Prevention 10.6.8.109, Endpoint Security Common 10.6.8.11
That version of MAC is Big Sur and that version of ENS you are running is not supported on it. See KB84934. You need version 10.7.5 ens for mac.

When i tried to deploy the new version it gives me an error on the deployment - Product "ENDP_AM_1070MACX" installation failed, reason "Unknown error"..

I was able to install it with a stand-alone installer but still looks like i can't turn on the "Threat protection". The moment i turned it on . it goes to off automatically. will i be able to see the installed product from the EPO even though if i installed it manually ?
