Best way of removing McAfee products like Agent and ENS from endpoints
I have been tasked into looking at the best way to remove McAfee products from a select group in our organization. We are currently running McAfee ePO 5.10 with these systems connecting via ePOP agent. the plan is to remove all McAfee products as this group will use another product. These computers have ePO agent and Endpoint security 10.7 on them.
1. Can you use the Endpoint removal tool and deploy it from ePO. Will it remove the ePO agent and ENS remotely this way?
2. another option is to first remove McAfee Endpoint Security and then delete the system from ePO with the checkbox clicked to remove agent.
Re: Best way of removing McAfee products like Agent and ENS from endpoints
The recommended option is to remove ens via deployment task, then delete system and remove agent checked. But yes, you can deploy the removal tool via a client assigned task (not run client task now). If you use the run now task, you will never get a completion response.
